Hannah Timbrell is an independent dancer from Adelaide, Australia, currently based in Vienna, Austria. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) with Distinction from QUT and a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) Honours from WAAPA/LINK Dance Company. She is also a certified RYS 200-hour Yoga Teacher (Mudralina Mindful Living) and certified Yin Yoga Teacher (Human.Kind Studios).

Hannah has performed both nationally and internationally, appearing at festivals and venues including the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival (China), ACT Festival (Spain), Adelaide Fringe Festival (Australia), 17th European Contemporary Dance Festival (Cyprus), Internationale Bühnenwerkstatt Tanztheaterfestival (Austria), ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival, Laboratory of Movement ESK (Poland), Lange Nacht des Tanzes (Austria), Festival Internacional de Danza Contemporánea de la Ciudad de México (Mexico), Tanz ist (Austria), Travellings Festival (France), Donaufestival (Austria), ProArt Festival (Czech Republic), CODA Festival (Norway), and Modafe (South Korea).

She has performed in Collision Course – a slow-motion video shoot choreographed by Garry Stewart (2010), and in independent works by Aidan Munn and Adrianne Semmens for Ausdance S.A.’s Choreolab season (2011), as well as Fiona Gardner’s promenade dance theatre piece Cultural Isolation (2013). With support from Ausdance S.A.'s Outlet Dance Award, Arts S.A., Burnside Rotary, and the Ian Potter Cultural Foundation, Hannah has participated in workshops and classes at Juli Dans Festival (Amsterdam), ImPulsTanz (Vienna), The Place (London), Tanzquartier Wien, and undertook a secondment with Danish Dance Theatre (Copenhagen).

Between 2012 and 2018, she performed with the Vienna-based Tanz Company Gervasi. Notable works include The White Horn (2014), part of the ImPulsTanz Specials, and What Kind of Animal is? (2015), later re-staged in Poland, Mexico, and Austria (2016). In 2017, she developed and toured her solo performance Enklave, in collaboration with Elio Gervasi.

She also performed in the dance theatre piece You’re sexy, you’re cute – take off your riot suit (2015) with Tanz.coop, choreographed by Gisela Elisa Heredia, and danced as a hair model in Klipp Hair Trends with Cie. Tauschfühlung. Further appearances include the short film FLICKER (2016) directed by Siegmund Skalar, and the TV series Ich und die Anderen (2020), directed by David Schalko. In 2019, she collaborated with Leonie Wahl and das.bernhard ensemble on the dance theatre piece This is What Happened in the Telephone Booth.

Since 2017, Hannah has been a core collaborator with Chris Haring/Liquid Loft. She has contributed to the creation and performance of numerous works, including the Foreign Tongues series, Models of Reality (2018), Stand-Alones (Polyphony) (2019), Blue Moon you saw... (2020), the film Stranger than Paradise (2021), its live theatre prequel Still/Stranger than Paradise (2021), and Modern Chimeras (2022). In 2022, she performed and toured Grace Note with Liquid Loft in collaboration with PHACE Ensemble. In 2023, she premiered two new works as part of the L.I.F.E. series: Living in Funny Eternity – L.I.F.E. and lost in freaky evolution_L.I.F.E. Most recently, she has toured In Medeas Res (2024) and is currently involved in the creation of Seid umschlungen, Millionen! (premiering 2025).

In addition to performing, Hannah regularly teaches ballet, contemporary dance, choreography, and bodywork at the Weiterbildungsinstitut Tanzlehrgang in Vienna. She also offers Yoga Dance Fusion classes, drawing on her completed 200-hour and 50-hour yoga teacher training certifications.
