Vienna-born vibraphonist, composer, and pianist Tobias Meissl is primarily dedicated to exploring the interplay between composition and improvisation. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MuK), where he has been living and working since 2017. Meissl leads his own ensembles – the Tobias Meissl Trio and TeMTeT – and is a sought-after performer in the space between jazz, improvised, and contemporary music.
