
Ingrid Friedrich studied with Tibor Varga, Gerhart Hetzel, and Yong Uck Kim. She went on to attend masterclasses with Nathan Milstein, Wolfgang Schneiderhan, and Max Rostal, as well as chamber music classes, for example with Gidon Kremer.
She gained her first orchestral experience as concertmaster of the Lower Saxony Youth Orchestra, followed by the European Community Youth Orchestra. She was later a long-time member of The Chamber Orchestra of Europe, an experience that had a profound influence on her musical development.
Today, she performs with symphony and chamber orchestras in various roles. She was a member of the Rosamunde Quartet and the Lenbach Quartet, and continues to dedicate herself to a wide range of chamber music projects.
Ingrid Friedrich also enjoys working with students and chamber music groups of all ages.
