Martin Fuss


(born 1960, Vienna) lives and works as a musician and music teacher in Vienna. After studying clarinet and saxophone at the Vienna Conservatory and Berklee College of Music Boston/USA, he quickly became one of the most sought-after jazz and studio musicians in Austria. His extremely broad spectrum ranges from jazz to soul/funk and pop, both as a soloist and in the brass section. Orchestra and big band are his other important fields of activity. In addition to his main instrument, the saxophone, he is considered one of the most distinguished reed players (flutes, clarinets) in the country.

He has been a lecturer for saxophone at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna since 1991.

He is an endorser for the companies SCHAGERL SAXOPHONE and D'ADDARIO PERFORMING ARTIST.
