5/8erl in Ehr'n

5/8erl in Ehr'n are a rare species. It's no coincidence that this band works across countries, generations, genres and bubbles, on mainstream radio, at alternative radio stations, in the theater, at jazz festivals and in outdoor pools. It is their radical search for what connects - a sound between Vienna, Motown and Havana, with an eye on the poison of our time and on what is balm for the soul. For this they have developed their own musical language: Viennese soul.

On their seventh album BURN ON!, 5/8erl in Ehr'n are both patients and remedies. They treat the illness of all those who are constantly at the limit but can still tie their shoes - an exhausted society whose compulsive urge to optimize means that there is a time slot for everything and constant stress in everyday life.

For 19 years, seven albums, six decorative awards and over 1000 concerts, Clemens Wenger, Robert Slivovsky, Hanibal Scheutz, Miki Liebermann and Max Gaier have given themselves time to grow together. Away from neoliberal sales strategies, the band has been operating according to its own criteria since its foundation, on an independent label, in do-it-yourself mode and with the audience behind it. BURN ON! is a musical disarmament until the sun rises and the heart opens.
