The son of a British opera singer and an Austrian director, he was awarded the title of Bayerischer Kammersänger in 2023. He trained at the Conservatory of Vienna and under KS Wicus Slabbert. His broad repertoire includes numerous leading roles in opera (Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Fidelio, Der fliegende Holländer), operetta (Die lustige Witwe, Die Fledermaus, Der Vogelhändler, Gräfin Mariza, Der Vetter aus Dingsda, Der Opernball, Frau Luna, Pariser Leben, Die Zirkusprinzessin, Wiener Blut, Viktoria und ihr Husar, Die Faschingsfee, Die Großherzogin von Gerolstein), classic musical (Les Misérables, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Singin’ in the Rain, Show Boat, Evita, Sweeney Todd, Hello, Dolly!, Der Mann von La Mancha, Das Lächeln einer Sommernacht) and plays (Romeo und Julia, Bouncers, Der Reigen). He has performed at venues such as the Opéra National de Strasbourg, the Volksoper Wien, the Oper Graz, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, the London Royal Festival Hall, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the Semperoper Dresden.
He has taken on the title roles in the world premieres of the operas Koukourgi (Luigi Cherubini), Liliom, and Schuberts Reise nach Atzenbrugg (Johanna Doderer). Since 2001, he has been a regular guest at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz.
