Raphael Schluesselberg is an Austrian conductor and specialist for unusual opera formats. He has worked at renowned institutions such as the Theater an der Wien, the Bavarian State Opera, the Opera national de Montpellier and the University of Illinois. As a collaborator of Anna Bernreitner since the joint founding of Oper Rund Um, his focus is on spontaneity, flexibility and outreach while ensuring the highest musical quality. During his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna with Mark Stringer and Erwin Ortner, he was involved in numerous opera productions there. The medium of opera has always accompanied and inspired Schluesselberg and his greatest concern is to share this enthusiasm with as many people as possible. In addition to his work as a conductor, he has also been active as a composer for film and media since the coronavirus pandemic.
