Verena Tranker, despite her young age, is already a sought-after soloist, praised by the press for her “beautiful, delicate, playful soprano with secure high notes”, her “stage presence”, and “coloratura pearls.” She has performed repeatedly in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein and has sung on several occasions with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in Vienna.
Her engagements have taken her to renowned venues such as the MusikTheater an der Wien, the Tyrolean Festival Erl, the Lehár Festival in Bad Ischl, the Burgtheater Vienna, Stadttheater Fürth, Theater Augsburg, Festspielhaus Worms, and the Ruhrfestspielhaus Recklinghausen, among others.
In addition to her opera and concert activities, Verena Tranker is a passionate performer of Lieder and Wienerlied.
In the 2025/2026 season, she will make her debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus as an outstanding young artist as part of the Musica Juventutis concert series. She will also return to the MusikTheater an der Wien and to the Tyrolean Festival Erl, where she will perform alongside Jonas Kaufmann in a production broadcast on ORF 3. In the summer of 2026, she will make her first appearance at the Summer Arena of Bühne Baden.
The 2024/2025 season includes numerous artistic highlights. At the MusikTheater an der Wien, she will appear in the staged musical tour Bravissimo!, performing selections from opera, operetta, and musical theatre, including roles such as Blondchen, the Queen of the Night, and Adele. At the Tyrolean Festival Erl, she will once again take the stage alongside Jonas Kaufmann as Adele, performing the Frühlingsstimmen-Waltz under the baton of GMD Asher Fisch. She will also sing Adele in Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus with the Neue Operette Wien, with performances including a stop at the Ruhrfestspielhaus Recklinghausen. Additionally, she will portray Comtesse Anastasia in Kálmán’s Die Csárdásfürstin at venues including the Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg, and Fantasca in Indigo and the 23 Robbers, a reimagining of Johann Strauss’ work for Johann Strauss 2025 Vienna.
In concert, Verena Tranker will perform Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Schubert’s Mass in C Major in Vienna. In June, she will make her debut at the RSO-Radiokulturhaus Vienna in the concert Mythos Johann Strauss. A further recital debut will follow in July at the Carinthian Summer Festival, curated by Nadja Kayali, where she will appear with Wolfgang Kogert (organ). In summer 2025, she will tour Tunisia with the Vienna State Opera Ball Orchestra, once again presenting Adele and the Frühlingsstimmen-Waltz.
