Alfred Gradinger has been playing the accordion since the age of six and has worked as a professional musician since 1978. Together with Rudi Koschelu, he founded the duo Die Weaner Spatz’n, which has received numerous awards at music competitions. Since then, he has been dedicated to preserving traditional Viennese songs (Wienerlied) and instrumental music. Fredi Gradinger is active across a wide range of musical fields: he writes song lyrics, screenplays, and composes in various styles. He is a recipient of the Goldenes Verdienstzeichen (Golden Medal of Merit) of the City of Vienna.
