Alireza Daryanavard, performance artist and director, born in Iran. He began working as an actor at the age of 12. In addition to leading roles in cinema and TV, he has also worked as a television and radio presenter. Apart from his work as an actor and director, which took him to nationwide stages in Iran and numerous festivals, he also trained young talent. He founded an underground theater. He has been living in Austria since 2014. Since then, he has performed as an actor and musician in various theaters, including the Volkstheater Wien during the Vienna Festival Weeks, WerkX Petersplatz, Dschungel Wien, Brunnenpassage, Theater Akzent, Theater Drachengasse and internationally in France, Spain, Slovenia, Poland, Germany and Ukraine. Second degree at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. In 2017, he was awarded the Start Scholarship of the Austrian Federal Chancellery for the Performing Arts. 2018/2019 solo play “Ein Staatenloser” performed at the Weltmuseum Wien, Werk X-Petersplatz, Brunnenpassage and Münchner Kammerspiele, among others. 2019 Scholarship at the “Heidelberg Stückemarkt”. February 2020 Premiere as author and director of his play “Blutiger Sommer” at Werk X-Petersplatz, which earned him a nomination for the Nestroy Theater Prize 2020 as author and director in the category of best young male artist. In 2021, his play “ Tschernobyl - Eine Chronik der Zukunft” based on Svetlana Alexijewitsch premiered at the Odeon Theater Vienna. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Advisory Board for Performing Arts of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture.
