The Artificial Museum (ARM) showcases independent art on a web-based, avant-garde Augmented Reality platform.

  • Bringing art into public spaces: Worldwide, in every city, in every country, on the Moon and on Mars.
  • Democratizing art: ARM presents the cultural heritage of the future regardless of material, geographical, and political boundaries.

Vienna, March 14, 2024 - The Artificial Museum (ARM) represents a cutting-edge initiative aimed at revolutionizing the accessibility of art worldwide. Founded in 2020, ARM has established itself as an international virtual museum and is a leader in integrating web-based Augmented Reality technology to bring art into public spaces spanning across the Earth, the Moon, and Mars. ARM stands at the forefront of innovation, allowing its founders, Litto/Daniela Weiss and Jascha Ehrenreich (SystemKollektiv), to place sculptures in their "world-spanning house." In collaboration with over 250 artists, a diverse collection of mostly site-specific artifacts has been created, capable of freely populating any space. "ARM represents a paradigm shift in the art world, transcending geographical boundaries to make art accessible to people worldwide," says Litto/Daniela Weiss, artistic director of ARM. "By employing Augmented Reality technology, we democratize art and enable individuals to interact with cultural artifacts in their own environment."

The significance of ARM's mission goes beyond mere accessibility; it embodies a commitment to promoting cultural exchange and democratizing artistic expression. Through its innovative platform, ARM empowers artists to create immersive experiences that transcend physical boundaries and foster connections and dialogues within diverse communities.
