Barbara Castka is a native of Vienna and completed her musical theatre training at the Performing Academy and her dance training at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. She gained her first stage experience at a Pasek & Paul concert at the Ronacher and as Morticia in Rigor Mortis at Theater Akzent. Her previous engagements include, among others, Graziella in West Side Story and Luisa Vampa in Der Graf von Monte Christo at the Felsenbühne Staatz, the revue Durchwursteln oder Durchwurschteln at Kabarett Simpl, Jekyll & Hyde, Peter Pan, Gabrielle in Can-Can at Stadttheater Baden, as well as at Freie Bühne Wien. At Raimund Theater Wien, she appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar and I am from Austria. She then joined the Ronacher in Vienna as Demeter in the hit musical Cats and returned to the Raimund Theater as Ellen (cover) in Miss Saigon. At Landestheater Linz, she performed in Anastasia and Catch Me If You Can during the 2022–2023 season, and in summer 2023, she appeared as Mary Delgado in Jersey Boys at Musicalsommer Amstetten. In 2024–2025, Barbara was part of the ensemble and cover for Isabella in Rock Me Amadeus – Das Falco Musical at the Ronacher in Vienna.
