Baritone Christoph Gerhardus, born in Vienna, began his musical career as a member of the Vienna Boys' Choir. He studied voice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG) and also completed the program in Classical Operetta at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Since the 2023/24 season, he has been a member of the opera studio at Landestheater Linz.

His repertoire spans both opera and operetta. At Landestheater Linz, he made his debut as Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. He appeared as the Officer in Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites and as the Soldier in Philippe Boesmans’ Reigen. His operetta roles include Jan in Millöcker’s Der Bettelstudent, Eisenstein in Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, and Dr. Siedler in Im weißen Rössl. He has also participated in world premieres at Oper Graz and within the framework of the steirischer herbst festival.

Christoph Gerhardus is also active as a concert and recital singer. In addition to giving regular Lieder recitals, he has appeared as baritone soloist in Duruflé’s Requiem at the Musikverein Graz and in Orff’s Carmina Burana in Ljubljana.
