Since 1962, the Grand Théâtre de Genève has had its own ballet company, which consists of 22 artists and offers two original choreographic creations per season. By collaborating with internationally renowned choreographers, it has built up a worldwide reputation over the course of its performances. While the premieres always take place in Geneva, the Geneva Ballet frequently performs abroad (France, Italy, USA, Russia, Australia, China, Brazil, South Africa...)

Since the 22-23 season, the ballet has been under the direction of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
