
Marko Ferlan is a guitarist, bassist, and double bassist, born in 1988 in Brežice, Slovenia.
Marko studied classical guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Univ.-Prof. Alexander Swete and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gunter Schneider.
He has won several prizes at international competitions, most recently in 2018, when he and the Duo Bauman-Ferlan were awarded 1st prize for chamber music at the Premio Città di Padova (Italy).
Ferlan’s musical versatility makes him an active presence in both the Viennese and international music scenes. He performs in ensembles such as Pool of Invention, the Duo Bauman-Ferlan, the Ensemble Illyrica, as well as the interdisciplinary Synesthetic Project. He is also part of the Lana Janjanin Quartet, the Özlem Bulut Band, and the Oscar Antoli Quartet.
