Nikola Hillebrand has performed at some of the world’s leading opera and concert venues, including the Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zürich, Theater an der Wien, Glyndebourne Festival, Wiener Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie, Gewandhaus Leipzig, and the Salzburger Festspiele, under the baton of David Afkham, Marin Alsop, Adam Fischer, Fabien Gabel, Vaclav Luks, Antonello Manacorda, Alexander Soddy, Raphaël Pichon, Robin Ticciati, and Franz Welser-Möst.
From 2020 to 2024, she was a member of the ensemble at the Semperoper Dresden, where she appeared as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Sophie (Rosenkavalier), Zdenka (Arabella), and Musette (La Bohème). Further highlights include Zdenka at Opernhaus Zürich, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and Adele (Fledermaus) at the Hamburgische Staatsoper. In January 2024, she made her acclaimed debut as Kunigunde in Bernstein’s Candide at the Theater an der Wien. In the summer of 2024, she debuted as Agathe (Freischütz) at the Bregenzer Festspiele, followed by Adele (Fledermaus) at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. In the 2024-2025 season, she will appear as Pamina at the Opéra National de Paris, as Susanna at the Zürcher Oper, and as Aspasia (Mitridate) at the Hamburgische Oper.
