The Radio Livestream Ensemble was founded out of the RSO as part of the music education project “Österreichischer Orchestertag” in June 2022. The founding members, Anais Tamisier and Felipe Medina, quickly decided to focus on music featured on ORF radio stations like Ö1, FM4, Ö3, and Radio Wien — which also inspired the ensemble’s name. Initially made up of violin, double bass, and bassoon, the group soon expanded. This led to further performances in public spaces, including the Open House at MuseumsQuartier, the Kulturgarage Seestadt, and events hosted by ORF and the RadioKulturhaus. Over time, more RSO musicians joined: Anais Tamisier (violin), Lara Schmitt (viola), Felipe Medina (double bass), Pedro Reis (clarinet), Martin Machovits (bassoon), Luis Barbe (horn), Wolfgang Nagl and Fabio Kapeller (percussion), and Marko Ferlan (electric guitar). With their diverse talents and infectious energy, they continue to impress audiences. RSO cellist Raffael Dolezal hosts the performances as the ensemble’s moderator.
