
With over 620 published books and more than 40 million copies sold in over 35 languages, Thomas Brezina is one of Austria's most successful authors. Thomas Brezina began writing stories and working as a puppeteer for television while he was still at school. His breakthrough came in 1990 with ‘Die Knickerbocker-Bande’. Three years later he created ‘Tom Turbo’ - a TV and book series with over 400 episodes. Since 2008, Thomas Brezina has been responsible for ‘okidoki’, ORF's children's programme, as producer and creative director with his TV company Tower10 KidsTV. A few years ago, Thomas Brezina discovered social media for himself and inspires fans on TikTok (100k followers), Instagram (75k followers) and Facebook (45k followers). Inspired by this, he has been writing both novels and guidebooks for adults since 2017. In addition to many other awards, Thomas Brezina has been honoured with the ‘Romy’ and is a recipient of the ‘Golden Medal of Merit of the Republic of Austria’. He currently lives in Vienna and London with his partner Ivo and dog Joppy. He is involved in charity work as an ambassador for UNICEF, Partner Dogs Austria, Caritas and Volkshilfe.
