kunststoff is a Vienna-based collective founded by Christina Aksoy, Waltraud Brauner, Raffaela Gras, and Stefanie Sternig. The collective kunststoff explores the open form of contemporary art through various approaches. Their work not only aims to raise awareness and encourage reflection but also engages with socially and politically relevant themes. Their artistic method is described as conceptual, intuitive, interdisciplinary, counter-current, process-oriented, and bold. Since 2011, the collective has been active in contemporary choreography, dance, and cultural mediation. They are committed to presenting contemporary dance and performance from different perspectives, making them accessible to diverse audiences. kunststoff develops performances for both old and young audiences that engage in transdisciplinary dialogue.
