Leone Contini | God’s Entertainment
as part of OCT.opus 25
The waltz was more than just a dance! Its spin became the engine of a massive political transformation. Its ecstasy became the drug of a social dream. It became the soundtrack to a utopia - a better life for as many as possible - that went hand in hand with the ideology of progress and growth. For one evening, the Octopus transforms itself into a restaurant of super tongues, so that you can look around and taste the many flavors here and now, there and then.
Multimedia artist Leone Contini examines heritage, intercultural contacts and hierarchical power relations in the context of global movements - of people as well as plants, spices and recipes. Together with God‘s Entertainment, he invites the audience to the dining table to make shared experiences of migration and culinary translations tangible through the kitchen - and everything that goes with food. the evening is being created in collaboration with Tomas Zierhofer-Kin, who is providing conceptual support.
